ঠাকুরগাঁও প্রতিনিধি: বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের উপদেষ্টা মন্ডলীর সদস্য ও ঠাকুরগাঁও-১ আসনের সংসদ সদস্য রমেশ চন্দ্র সেন বলেন ঠাকুরগাঁও হাসপাতালকে বাংলাদেশের সেরা একটি হাসপাতালে পরিনত করতে কাজ করে যাচ্ছি। স্বাস্থ্য সেবা মানুষের দোড় গোড়ায় পৌছে দেওয়াই আমাদের লক্ষ্য। দরপত্রে যে সব শর্তাবলী উল্লেখ থাকে গুলো সংশ্লিষ্ট ঠিকাদারকে মেনে চলার আহবান জানান তিনি।
রোববার (২ জুন) ঠাকুরগাঁও সিভিল সার্জন কার্যালয়ের সভাকক্ষে ২৫০ শয্যা বিশিষ্ট জেনারেল হাসপাতাল ব্যবস্থাপনা কমিটির সভায় সভাপতির বক্তব্যে এসব কথা বলেন।
তিনি বলেন, টেন্ডারে ভুয়া কাগজ দিয়ে আবেদনকারীদের চিহ্নিত করে তাদেরটা বাতিল করতে হবে। আমি যতদিন বেঁচে থাকবো এই হাসপাতালের জন্য কাজ করে যাব। এই হাসপাতালে রোগীদের অত্যাধিক চাপ থাকে। এই হাসপাতাল রংপুর বিভাগের এক নাম্বার হাসপাতাল। আমরা যাতে বাংলাদেশের ১০টি হাসপাতালের মধ্যে থাকতে পারি সেই প্রচেষ্টা অব্যাহত রাখতে হবে।
রমেশ চন্দ্র বলেন সরকারী হাসপাতালগুলোতে সরকারী বিধি মোতাবেক নীতি অনুযায়ী কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীদের বসবাস করতে হবে। সদর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা অফিসের নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা খুবই দুর্বল। নতুন পরিকল্পনার আওতায় সদর অফিস গুলোতে বহি: বিভাগের সীমিত সুবিধাসহ ১০ম তলা বিশিষ্ট কমপ্লেক্স নির্মিত করা হবে।
