টাঙ্গন ডেস্ক : বিএনপি’র মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীর বলেন সংস্কার আর নির্বাচন আলেদা জিনিস। সংস্কার সংস্কারের মতো চলবে, নির্বাচন নির্বাচনের মতো চলবে। গণতন্ত্রের বিকল্প নেই, গণতন্ত্রকে প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক রুপ দিতে হলে নির্বাচনই একমাত্র পথ।
মঙ্গলবার (১ এপ্রিল) বিকেল ৫ টায় ঠাকুরগাঁও শহরের তাঁতীপাড়া মহল্লায় তার পৈত্রিক বাড়ীতে সাংবাদিকদের সাথে ঈদ উল ফিতরের শুভেচ্ছা বিনিময়কালে তিনি এসব কথা বলেন।
মির্জা ফখরুল আর বলেন ইচ্ছা ছিল ঠাকুরগাঁওয়ে ঈদ করবো, কিন্তু শরীর ভালো নয়, আমি চিকিৎসার জন্য দেশের বাইরে ৬ তারিখে যাবো। তিনি বলেন সরকার সংস্কার কমিশন করে দিয়েছে। আমরা পর্যবেক্ষণ করেছি, আমাদের দলের পক্ষ থেকে সংস্কারের বিষয় গুলো আগেই জানিয়ে দিয়েছি। এখন অন্যান্য রাজনৈতিক দলগুলোর সাথে বসবেন। কথা আছে যে দল ক্ষমতায় আসবেন সে গুলো সামনে নিয়ে নির্বাচন হবে।
তিনি বলেন নির্বাচনের আগে রাজনৈতিক দল গুলো সমঝোতায় স্বাক্ষর করবেন। যারা নির্বাচিত হবেন তারা সেই সংস্কার গুলোকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাবেন।
সাংবাদিকদের এক প্রশ্নের জবাবে ফখরুল ইসলাম বলেছেন, চীন সফর অন্তর্র্বতীকালীন সরকারের ইতিবাচক ও বড় একটি সাফল্য। কারণ, এর আগে আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের আমলে একতরফাভাবে চীনের একটি দলের সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক গড়ে উঠেছিল। তবে সরকারের পরিবর্তনের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে চীন তাদের কৌশল বদলেছে এবং সব রাজনৈতিক দলের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করছে।
তিনি বলেন, ‘চীন অত্যন্ত সমৃদ্ধশালী একটি দেশ এবং অর্থনীতির দিক থেকে বিশ্বে দ্বিতীয়। বাংলাদেশের সঙ্গে চীনের বিনিয়োগও অনেক বেশি। চীন প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছে, ভবিষ্যতে বাংলাদেশের উন্নয়নে প্রয়োজনীয় বিনিয়োগ করবে। এটি নিঃসন্দেহে আমাদের জন্য আশাব্যঞ্জক।’
অন্তর্র্বতী সরকারের বিষয়ে এক প্রশ্নের জবাবে বিএনপির মহাসচিব বলেন, ‘তারা জনগণের সমর্থন নিয়ে ক্ষমতায় এসেছে এবং ছাত্র-জনতার আন্দোলনের মাধ্যমেই এই সরকার গঠিত হয়েছে। তারা রাষ্ট্রীয় ব্যবস্থায় পরিবর্তন আনতে সংস্কার কর্মসূচি সামনে এনেছে এবং সংস্কার কমিশন গঠন করেছে। আমরা কমিশনের প্রস্তাবগুলো পর্যালোচনা করেছি ও আমাদের মতামত দিয়েছি। ভবিষ্যতে তারা আমাদের সঙ্গে এবং অন্যান্য রাজনৈতিক দলের সঙ্গে বসবে।’ নির্বাচন প্রসঙ্গে তিনি বলেন, ‘আমাদের প্রধান উপদেষ্টা বলেছেন, ডিসেম্বরের মধ্যেই নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।’
এ সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন জেলা বিএনপি নেতা ফয়গাম আলী, মামুনুর রশিদ, আনসারুল হকসহ তৃণমূল নেতাকর্মীরা।
