দিনাজপুরের হাকিমপুরের ডাংগাপাড়ায় দিনব্যাপী বিনামূল্যে চক্ষু শিবির ক্যাম্প অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। এতে এলকার গরীব অসহায় ও দুস্থ মানুষদের বিনামূল্যে চোখের প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা এবং ছানি পড়া রোগীদের শনাক্ত করন, অপারেশন ও ঔষধ ফ্রি দেওয়া হয়েছে।
শনিবার (১০ মে ) হাকিমপুর উপজেলার খট্টামাধবপাড়া ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ হলরুমে স্বেচ্ছাসেবক বদিউজ্জামান জাপান এর আয়োজনে দিনাজপুর গাউসুল অযম বিএনএসবি আই হসপিটাল এর সহযোগিতায় ও অর্থায়নে সকাল থেকে দিনব্যাপী এই বিনামূল্যে চক্ষু শিবির ক্যাম্প অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
উপজলা সহ অত্র এলাকার বিভিন্ন বয়সের ৫শত নারী ও পুরুষ মানুষ চিকিৎসা সেবা গ্রহণের জন্য সেখানে উপস্থিত হয়ে চিকিৎসার গ্রহন করেন।
দিনাজপুর গাওসুল আযম এর (বিএনএসবিআই) প্রোগ্রাম অফিসার হামিদুর রহমান বলেন, স্বেচ্ছাসেবী নেস্ট এর আয়োজনে দিনাজপুর গাওসুল আযম চক্ষু হাসপাতালের মেড়িকেল অফিসার ডাঃ আবুল কালাম আজাদ এর নেতৃত্বে ৮ সদস্যের একটি চক্ষু চিকিৎসক দল গরীব, অসহায় ও দুস্থ মানুষদের বিনামুল্যে চোখের প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা এবং ছানি পড়া রোগীদের নির্নয় করার কাজ করা হয়। ১৩০ জন ছানি পড়া রোগীদের দিনাজপুর গাওসুল আযম চক্ষু হাসপাতালে নিয়ে গিয়ে ছানি অপারেশন করা হবে।
স্বেচ্ছাসেবক বদিউজ্জামাল জাপান জানান, সমাজের অবহেলিত, নিপীড়িত, গরীব দুস্থ ও অসহায় মানুষের সেবা মূলক কাজ করায় মূল লক্ষ্য।
