পারবর্তীপুর(দিনাজপুর) প্রতিনিধি: দিনাজপুরের পার্বতীপুরে নিজ শোয়ার ঘর থেকে নাদিরা (৬১) নামে এক বৃদ্ধার মরদেহ উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ। পরে এ ঘটনার সাথে জড়িত সন্দেহে রাহেনুুল ইসলাম নামে এক যুবককে আটক করে পুলিশ।
মঙ্গলবার (২৫ ফেব্রুয়ারী) বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন পার্বতীপুর মডেল থানার তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা সাহেব আলী ।
আটককৃত যুবক একই গ্রামের প্রতিবেশী শামসুদ্দিন বাচ্চুর ছেলে। সে নিয়মিত নেশা করে আসতো বলে জানা গেছে।
এলাকাবাসী জানায়, বিধবা ওই নারীর সন্তানরা জীবিকার তাগিদে বাইরে অবস্থান করায় নিজ বাড়ীতে একাই বসবাস করতেন তিনি ।
পুলিশ জানায়, নিহতের মেয়ে নাসিমা খাতুন তার মাকে না পেয়ে সোমবার সন্ধ্যায় পার্বতীপুর মডেল থানায় একটি মিসিং জিডি করে। পরে পুলিশ ওই বৃদ্ধার মোবাইল ফোনের সূত্র ধরে রাহেনুলকে আটক করে। সে সময় রাহেনুল পুলিশের কাছে স্বীকারোক্তি মূলক জবানবন্দী দেয় যে, নেশার টাকা যোগাড় করতে বৃদ্ধা ওই নারীকে গলায় ওড়না পেচিয়ে হত্যা করে। এ সময় তার কাছে থাকা মোবাইল ফোন, টাকা ও সোনার অলংকার নিয়ে যায়। সেই সূত্র ধরে গলায় ওড়না পেচানো অবস্থায় বৃদ্ধার মরদেহ নিজ বাড়ীর একটি তালাবদ্ধ কক্ষ থেকে উদ্ধার করে।
এ ব্যাপারে মামলার তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা সাহেব আলী জানান, একই রাতে মিছিং জিডির রেশ ধরে, লাশ ও মালামাল উদ্ধার এবং আসামীকে আটক করে গ্রেফতার দেখিয়ে হাজতে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
