সোহেল রানা:চাকরি জীবনের শেষ দিনে ঠাকুরগাঁও সদর উপজেলার রামপুর মন্ডলপাড়া সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক সিরাজুল ইসলামকে বিদায় জানাতে ভিড় করেন শিক্ষার্থী, সহকর্মী ও স্থানীয় এলাকাবাসী। তাঁকে দেওয়া হয় এক স্মরণীয় ও সম্মানজনক বিদায়।
বৃহস্পতিবার (৮ মে) বিকেলে বিদ্যালয় মাঠে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন সদর উপজেলার সহকারী শিক্ষা কর্মকর্তা রতীন্দ্র নাথ রায়। এতে প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন জেলা প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা কর্মকর্তা মোফাজ্জল হোসেন। আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন সদর উপজেলা শিক্ষা কর্মকর্তা এরশাদুল হক ও জেলা প্রাথমিক শিক্ষক সমিতির আহ্বায়ক জিল্লুর রহমান। অনুষ্ঠান সঞ্চালনা করেন বিশ্বাসপুর সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক আখতার হোসেন।
সিরাজুল ইসলাম ৩৪ বছর ধরে ঐ বিদ্যালয়ে প্রধান শিক্ষক হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন। দায়িত্বশীলতা, নিষ্ঠা ও সততার জন্য তিনি সহকর্মী ও এলাকাবাসীর কাছে ছিলেন অত্যন্ত শ্রদ্ধেয়। তিনি শুধু এই বিদ্যালয়ের নয়, পুরো ক্লাস্টারের একজন প্রিয় মুখ ছিলেন। তাই বিদায় অনুষ্ঠানে আশপাশের বিভিন্ন বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক ও স্থানীয় দুই শতাধিক মানুষ অংশ নিয়ে তাকে শ্রদ্ধা ও ভালোবাসা জানায়।
