টাঙ্গন ডেস্ক : চাকরিতে পুনর্বহালের দাবিতে চাকরিচ্যুত সীমান্তরক্ষী বাহিনীর সদস্যরা সচিবালয় অভিমুখে যে মিছিল নিয়ে যাচ্ছিলো, সেটি পুলিশের লাঠিপেটা, কাঁদানে গ্যাস, জলকামান ও সাউন্ড গ্রেনেডে পণ্ড হয়ে গেছে।
সোমবার (৭ এপ্রিল) ঢাকায় দুপুরের দিকে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এলাকা থেকে মিছিলটি সচিবালয়ের দিকে যাত্রা শুরু করলে শিক্ষা ভবন মোড়ে পুলিশি বাধার মুখে পড়ে।
ব্যারিকেড দিয়ে পুলিশ তাদেরকে আটকে দিলে চাকরিচ্যুত সীমান্তরক্ষী বাহিনীর সদস্যরা শিক্ষা ভবন মোড়ে সড়ক অবরোধ করেন। এতে সড়কটিতে যান চলাচল বন্ধ হয়ে যায়।
ঘণ্টাখানেক সড়ক অবরোধ করে রাখার পর চাকরিচ্যুত সীমান্তরক্ষী বাহিনীর সদস্যরা পুনরায় মিছিল নিয়ে সচিবালয়ের দিকে এগিয়ে যাওয়ার চেষ্টা করে।
সে সময় পুলিশ তাদেরকে লাঠিপেটা করার পাশাপাশি জলকামান, কাঁদানে গ্যাস ও সাউন্ড গ্রেনেড নিক্ষেপ করে ছত্রভঙ্গ করে দেয়। মিছিলকারীরাও পুলিশকে লক্ষ্য করে ইট-পাটকেল নিক্ষেপ করেন। এতে উভয়পক্ষের বেশ কয়েকজন আহত হয়েছেন বলে জানা যাচ্ছে।
তবে এ ঘটনায় এখন পর্যন্ত কাউকে আটক করা হয়নি বলে সাংবাদিকদের জানিয়েছেন ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশের উপ-কমিশনার মাসুদ আলম।
